Hello there! I’m Raheel Ahmed, a multifaceted individual with a rich tapestry of experiences in psychology, education, research, training and volunteering. With a solid foundation as a Clinical Psychologist, Lecturer, and Researcher, I’ve delved into various spheres that have honed my understanding of human behavior and relationships.
Beyond academia, my roles have been diverse. I’ve delved into health research at the Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning, conducted qualitative evaluations for UNICEF, and spearheaded survey research in Pakistan. Administrative insight was gained during my tenure as a Section Officer in the Higher Education Department, Punjab Civil Secretariat, where I sharpened skills in drafting, public dealing, and proposal development.
Volunteering has been integral to my growth. From initiatives with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) promoting volunteerism among youth across Pakistan to working hands-on with autistic children as an ABA therapist at the Trusted Support Therapeutic Clinic, my experiences have cultivated empathy, patience, and understanding.
I’ve even extended my reach globally, volunteering with international organizations like VSO and the British Council’s Global Xchange Program, enriching my cross-cultural and leadership skills. Additionally, contributing to research on Syrian refugees in Malaysia has provided a unique perspective on resilience, displacement, and human connection.
